Spyderco Salt Series
Spyderco's Salt Series knives are built for water, boats and wet work. They use highly rust-resistant steels so they can handle salt water.
The series started in 2004 with H-1 steel. In 2022 Spyderco moved to H-2 after H-1 stopped being made. Green "FP" models use LC200N, and yellow USA-made Salt models use CPM MagnaCut.

Spyderco Salt Series FAQ
Will a Salt knife rust?
They are made from steels with exceptional corrosion resistance. It is still a good idea to rinse them in fresh water after salt water use.
What is the difference between H-1 and H-2?
H-2 is the replacement Spyderco adopted in 2022 after H-1 was discontinued. Spyderco says H-2 improves corrosion resistance further.
Which Salt is best for a boat?
The Atlantic Salt has a blunt-tip serrated sheepsfoot blade made for cutting rope around boats, and the Assist has a whistle and glass breaker.
