Case Baby Doc FAQ
How do Case pattern numbers work?
The first digit is the handle material, the second is the number of blades, and the rest is the pattern. For example, 6254 is a bone-handled (6), two-blade (2) Trapper (54).
What is the difference between SS and CV?
SS is Case's Tru-Sharp stainless steel, which resists rust. CV (chrome vanadium) and CS (carbon steel) take a keen edge and sharpen easily but need oiling and develop a patina.
