Auxiliary Manufacturing Wendigo Blue GripX

The Auxiliary Manufacturing Wendigo Blue GripX is a hard-use handmade fixed blade from the Reno, Nevada shop known for tough, carry-ready custom knives. Named for the creature of North American folklore, the Wendigo has a sweeping, upswept blade with plenty of belly for slicing, a choil and a curved, hand-filling handle built to be carried every day and used hard.

GripX is an aggressively textured composite that locks into your hand even when it is wet, muddy or bloody from field work. This one has a speckled teal-blue GripX handle finished with a bright orange paracord lanyard that makes it easy to spot in the grass or the bottom of a pack.

The blade is CPM S35VN, a premium powder-metallurgy stainless steel that balances edge retention, toughness and corrosion resistance, and is still easy to sharpen in the field.
