1. Shipping & Free Shipping Policy

When will my order ship?

We move fast. Orders placed before 2:00 PM Central Time usually ship out the same business day. Orders placed after that cutoff are processed on the next business day.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes. If your order subtotal is $125 or more (before tax), you’ll get free shipping with our choice of carrier. Depending on your location and the size/value of the package, we may use FedEx Ground, USPS Priority, or UPS Ground at our discretion.

Which shipping carriers do you use?

Our primary carrier is FedEx, but for certain orders or destinations we may ship with USPS or UPS. If you prefer a specific carrier or service level, you can choose a paid option at checkout.

Can I add shipping insurance or signature confirmation?

Yes. At checkout, you’ll see options for shipping insurance and signature required on eligible shipments. Basic insurance (typically up to $100) is included on most standard shipments, but if your order value is higher, we strongly recommend adding extra coverage for peace of mind.

What if I enter the wrong shipping address?

Please double-check your shipping address before submitting your order. Our delivery guarantee covers shipments to the address you provide at checkout. If the address is incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable and the package is lost or stolen, we cannot be held responsible.

Do you provide tracking information?

Yes. Once your order ships, you’ll receive an email with tracking information so you can follow your shipment from Cajun Knife & Gear to your door.

2. Returns & Cancellations

Can I return my order if I change my mind?

In most cases, yes. We offer a 14-day return window from the date your package is marked as delivered. If you decide the item isn’t right for you, contact us within that timeframe to request a return authorization.

What condition does the item need to be in?

To qualify for a return, the item must be in 100% brand-new, unused condition, and include:

  • Original box and packaging
  • All factory accessories and paperwork
  • All labels, stickers, and protective films intact

If an item shows signs of use, damage, modification, or is missing components, it cannot be resold as new and will not be eligible for a return.

Who pays for return shipping?

Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. We recommend using a trackable, insured shipping method when sending items back to Cajun Knife & Gear. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit on their way back to us.

How do refunds work?

You have two main refund options:

  • Store Credit: Full item value (minus original shipping), issued as account credit with Cajun Knife & Gear.
  • Refund to Original Payment Method: Refunded amount less a 10% restocking/processing fee to cover shipping and payment-processing costs.

How long do I have to send the return back?

After your return is approved, the item must be shipped and scanned by the carrier within 7 days. Returns sent after this window may be refused or subject to additional fees.

Can I cancel my order?

If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible. Orders canceled before they ship are subject to a 5% cancellation fee to cover non-refunded payment processing costs. Once an order has shipped, it can no longer be canceled and will instead need to go through the normal return process.

Are any items non-returnable?

Yes. Orders paid through third-party financing (such as Credova) may not be eligible under our standard return policy. Certain clearance, closeout, or specially marked items may also be final sale. Any such limitations will be clearly noted on the product page when possible.

3. International Shipping

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, Cajun Knife & Gear does ship internationally to select countries. However, international orders come with extra considerations, including customs, duties, taxes, and local laws regarding knives and gear.

Am I responsible for customs, duties, and taxes?

Yes. All customs fees, import duties, VAT, and local taxes associated with importing your order are your responsibility as the buyer. We ship with accurate customs declarations, but we cannot control or predict the exact costs charged by your country’s customs agency.

Are there restrictions on knives or gear in my country?

Many countries—and even some regions or cities—have strict laws regarding certain types of knives (including automatic knives, OTF knives, and other mechanisms). It is your responsibility to know and comply with your local laws before placing an order. We reserve the right to decline international orders for items that appear to violate known import restrictions.

What about lost, delayed, or seized international shipments?

Once a package leaves the United States, it is handled by international carriers and your local customs/postal system. Delays, holds, or seizures by customs are outside our control. We will assist where possible, but we cannot guarantee delivery times or outcomes on international shipments.

Can I purchase extra insurance for international orders?

In many cases, yes. If you would like additional shipping insurance for an international order, please contact us before completing checkout so we can quote and add the appropriate coverage. Extra insurance is highly recommended for high-value knives and gear.

4. Store Policies & Legal Information

How do you protect my personal and payment information?

We use SSL encryption on our website to help protect your personal data and payment information during checkout. Payment details are processed securely by our payment provider, and we do not store your full credit card information on our servers.

Do you sell or share my information?

No. Cajun Knife & Gear does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We only use your information to process orders, provide customer service, and communicate with you about your purchases or promotions (if you opt in).

Are product descriptions and prices guaranteed to be correct?

We work hard to keep all product descriptions, specifications, images, and prices accurate and up-to-date. However, occasional errors can occur. We reserve the right to correct any mistakes and to cancel orders affected by obvious inaccuracies, such as pricing errors or misprints.

What about legal restrictions on certain knives and gear?

Laws vary widely by state, country, and municipality. By placing an order with Cajun Knife & Gear, you certify that you:

  • Are of legal age to purchase the items in your order.
  • Are legally allowed to possess the knives and gear where you live.
  • Have reviewed and comply with your local laws and regulations.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order if we believe it conflicts with applicable laws or regulations.
