I have been fascinated by knives since I was a kid. When I got a little older, guns became part of that interest as well.
Fast forward to 2013- I had a successful career in finance, but it just didn't do it for me anymore. I opened my first shop in Lafayette, LA specializing in custom guns (specifically 1911's) and knives. As my business grew, I focused on the gun side more and more, but the passion for knives was always there.
In 2021, I changed the name of the shop to Cajun Gun And Gear and opened a 2nd location not long after in Katy, TX. Our knife selection continued to grow since then and I realized that it was time for it to stand on its own.
In 2024, Cajun Knife and Gear was formed to showcase our growing knife business and to give our customers a focused site specializing in higher end & custom knives.
